TEACHING
Arielle enjoys teaching students of all ages and playing abilities. Individualized lessons play to students’ strengths while building confidence and fostering a love of learning and music. Students have the opportunity to learn music in a variety of styles, including classical, jazz, modern, and popular music. Lessons center on developing a beautiful, expressive tone, and Arielle works with students to establish a strong sense of rhythm and musicality. Music theory is an important part of lessons, as flutists of all levels need a comprehensive understanding of the music they play.
Arielle’s students have earned seats in the CMEA Regional Festival ensembles, West Hartford’s Inter-Elementary Music Festival Band, and the Hartt Community Division Harmony Winds and Philharmonia Winds.
As part of her master's degree in flute performance at the New England Conservatory, Arielle also completed a concentration in Music in Education.
